Effective Aid Ukraine recognises and upholds the dignity and rights of all children and adults with special needs. We ensure safe, respectful and protective environments by:
  • Promoting dignity, empowerment, and the rights of people with special needs
  • Careful recruitment of all Ukrainian and Irish volunteers
  • Following clear codes of conduct and strict safeguarding procedures
  • Providing confidential ways to report concerns

Effective Aid Ukraine is dedicated to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for every person we support. Our safeguarding procedures are reviewed regularly to stay aligned with EU and Irish safeguarding standards, and best practices in disability and humanitarian protection.  As Effective Aid Ukraine works in partnership, we are committed to supporting our partners in building safe, inclusive, and robust safeguarding policies and practices. 

Our designated safeguarding officer oversees all safeguarding matters and ensures Effective Aid Ukraine’s work meets the highest international standards.
