Ghrishkivsty

Ghrishkivsty Centre is home to 89 children with special needs aged 6–18. Around one third are permanent residents, while most of the remainder board at the centre from Monday to Friday. Established in 1933, the centre has extensive buildings and land, is in very good condition, and is well resourced.

Effective Aid Ukraine visited the centre in October 2023 and provided a range of practical support. These included kitchen equipment such as a new dishwasher, an industrial potato peeler, an industrial mixing machine, and new uniforms for kitchen staff.

During subsequent visits, and under the direction of the centre’s director, Zhanna Gromnytska, Effective Aid Ukraine supplied specialist equipment for the speech therapist, as well as an aquarium and a floor hockey set.
